McConnell Edwards combines the experience and expertise of two seasoned crisis communicators.

Kaitlyn McConnell served as CoxHealth’s corporate media relations representative for more than six years. During her tenure at CoxHealth, she led the health system’s corporate social media presence — both through content creation and public response management — and response to news media. She is also the founder of Ozarks Alive, a cultural preservation project through which she has written more than 700 stories about regional people, places and history, and has developed a social media community of nearly 40,000 people.

Steve Edwards retired from CoxHealth after 30 years of service, including 10 years as the health system’s president and CEO. During his tenure at the health system, Steve shepherded the health system through a period of significant growth and transformation, enlarging the employee base from 7,500 to 12,500, adding hospitals, clinics and insurance companies. He currently runs ImagineHealth Consulting which provides strategic leadership guidance in healthcare and technology startups.

This collective experience — built through hundreds of media responses and interviews; deadline-driven decisions; and a commitment to sharing an authentic story — forms the foundation of McConnell Edwards.
